Irish Olympic boxing coach Billy Walsh has admitted he did his best to convince John Joe Nevin to remain amateur, and even told the Olympic silver medalist he wasn"t good enough for the pro game.

Walsh was speaking to Newstalk"s Oisin Langan and told him about the serquence of events surrounding the Amir Khan pro offer to Nevin and his plans for the future of Irish boxers.
