Former Galway star Ollie Canning was certainly impressed by the vibrancy and efficiency of Tipperary's forward when he analysed the Limerick game on Off The Ball.
Speaking after yesterday's 4-23 to 1-16 win for Tipp, four-time All Star Canning picked out a few of the key performers.
"I'm surprised with how sharp they were coming in the first day back with Limerick having a game under their belt," he said.
"But you can see the spread of scores. We said it before and during the game. They have a number of finishers on the team. Jason Forde with 1-3, he'll get a lot of confidence from today's performance. Patrick Maher, who I thought has had more effective games, but still finished with three points to his name. John O'Dwyer getting seven from play is phenomenal shooting. 4-18 from play is an unbelievable return from the forward line."
