The first match was awaited with bated breath and after that rollercoaster at Croke Park, Kilkenny and Tipperary are filling their lungs ahead of Saturday's final replay.

To preview that game, Jamesie O'Connor, The Sunday Times' Denis Walsh and Diarmuid 'Gizzy' Lyng joined Derval O'Rourke and Ger to talk through the tactics and psychology as the teams were revealed just as they got going.

The latter was of particular interest to Jamesie who believes Tipp will be carrying plenty of confidence on their shoulders.

"Tipp have to take huge confidence out of how well they played but also out of the resolve they showed because with 9 minutes left on the clock, there were four points between the sides, Richie Power took a wrong option, and five points behind I think the psychology changes," said Jamesie, with Gizzy adding that Kilkenny made small mistakes at times that they normally would not have done in the past.

Walsh believes it would be Brian Cody's greatest achievement if he can inspire the current Kilkenny side to All Ireland glory.

"He just doesn't have the kind of player he had during the four-in-a-row. But for him to juggle the team as much as he has been juggling it and bringing the team so close to an All Ireland, I think it would be a phenomenal achievement."
