Ireland captain Paul O'Connell has been named as the 2015 Six Nations Player of the Championship.
The Munster and Ireland second-row has been recognised for a series of superb performances for Ireland throughout this year's title defence - earning 26 per cent of the public vote to come out on top of a 12-man poll that also featured his team-mates Conor Murray and Robbie Henshaw, who finished in third place.

O'Connell, who won his 100th cap during the tournament, said: "I am delighted to receive the RBS player of the championship trophy. When you see the names that have gone before, you realise what a great honour it is. I am very grateful for all the supporters who voted for me."
Welsh second-row Alun-Wyn Jones came in second place.
