If you've been aching for the return of the new League of Ireland season, the first weekend of action warmed things up nicely.

Two of the favourites - Dundalk and Cork City - started off with wins, newly promoted Finn Harps also got their season off to an encouraging start at a packed Finn Park against Derry City.
