The Republic of Ireland squad are training again this evening ahead of tomorrow night's final qualifier against Kazakhstan.

Robbie Keane is expected to play at the Aviva Stadium tomorrow night.

He missed Friday night's loss to Germany with an ankle injury, but resumed full training yesterday.

Despite that loss to Germany, interim boss Noel King praised his team and insisted that his side showed their defensive and attacking abilities on Friday:

Germany had 28 shots compared to Ireland who mustered 12 (5 on target). Germany also had 75 per cent of possession during the match as the Boys in Green were left resorting to the counter-attack.

Germany also won the corner count 16 - 4 and had it not been for goalkeeper David Forde's performance, it could have been a rout.

King also said Ireland need to get around their limitations to win matches against sides like Kazakhstan.

"We're not the biggest powers but we have to devise a way to win the match. Kazakhstan and Ireland are not that dissimilar. We have to make sure that when we play these teams, we have a plan," he said.
