For the first time in its 12 year history the UEFA.com team of the year has no representative from the English Premier League.
The award is decided by a public online vote and this year attracted 5.3 million voters.

8 of the 11 play their football in La Liga, with 4 representatives from both Barcelona and Real Madrid. The other 3 spots are filled with players from each of the Bundesliga, Serie A and France's Ligue Une.
