Newcastle defender Steven Taylor is out for the rest of the season.

The centre half ruptured an Achilles tendon during yesterday's 3-3 draw with Burnley.

Taylor, who has made over 250 appearances for his hometown club, suffered a similar injury in 2011.

He has made 10 league appearances this season, scoring in that match against Burnley.
