Andy Murray has taken the first set in the Wimbledon final, by a score of six games to four.

In the intense Centre Court heat – registering at 49.9 Celsius in the sun according to the BBC – Murray broke Novak Djokovic’s serve in the third game but the Serb immediately struck back to break the Scot’s serve and tie the set at 2-2.

The set took just over one hour to complete as both players have so far played some excellent tennis and each point has been hard won.
