Murdo MacLeod, former Celtic midfielder, believes tonight’s meeting with Juventus “is going to be the game of all games”.

The Scottish champions face the Italian champions with both sides on course to lift their domestic titles once again this term, albeit with Celtic slightly more comfortable as they enjoy an eighteen point lead in the SPL, compared to the five point lead of Juventus in Serie A.

Celtic won through a tough group, beating Spartak Moscow and Benfica to the second qualifying spot behind Barcelona. McLeod believes the experience will give the players confidence, and offset any rising expectations that they may have feel burdened with.

MacLeod was speaking to Newstalk Breakfast’s Oisin Langan and talked about the importance of Juve playmaker Andrea Pirlo, the importance that Georgios Samaras is fit for the Glasgow side and what chances there are of this Celtic side resisting talent stripping by some of Europe’s biggest sides following their European success.
