Munster look set to be without Mike Sherry for this weekend's Heineken Cup match-up against Perpignan.
The province have confirmed that the hooker damaged his anterior cruciate ligament during last Friday's win over the Dragons and he will require further scans later this week to establish the full extent of the damage.
However, there is better news in relation to Peter O'Mahony, Dave Foley and James Coughlan, who are set to be available for this Sunday's game at Thomond Park.
Meanwhile, Donnacha Ryan and Tommy O'Donnell are both ahead of schedule in their recovery from knee injuries and are expected to take part in limited training later this week.
