Munster can look forward to a rugby union European Cup semi final against Clermont Auvergne after a momentous win over Harlequins.

The Irish side, who were trailing at half time, beat Harlequins 18-12 in their last eight clash at the Stoop.

An emotional Paul O'Connell, who won the Man of the Match award, only returned to action two weeks ago following a lenghty lay-off.  

But despite his pride, the Ireland second row also criticised Munster's detractors:

"It means so much so much to these young guys. There's so many people doubting them and on their back every week. I know how hard they work. I know how much it means to them and their families."
