Munster's Donnacha Ryan has been linked with an unexpected move to Racing 92, according to the Irish Examiner.

The paper reports that Ryan is believed to have penned a two-year deal with Ronan O'Gara's club in France, a move that would bring his 13-year career with Munster to an end.

Ryan has enjoyed a successful Six Nations campaign and earned his 47th international cap against England last weekend, as Ireland ended their visitor's hopes of back-to-back Grand Slam titles in the Aviva Stadium.

But this move would significantly compromise Ryan's position in the national squad, given Joe Schmidt's stance on selecting players who don't stay within the domestic club system.

This development comes within days of the announcement that Munster's Dave Foley is moving to Pau in the summer.

Ryan has not been named in the Munster team to face Zebre this afternoon, and has been given the weekend off along with his international teammates, Keith Earls, CJ Stander, and Simon Zebo.
