Munster have responded to last week's defeat to Cardiff Blues with a 20-16 victory at Newport Gwent Dragons.

In a tightly-contested match, Jean Kleyn opened the try-scoring for Munster, before Hallam Amos responded for the Welsh side to leave the scores locked at 10-10 at half-time.

Centre Cian Bohane got Munster's second try midway through the second '40, although kicking from Angus O'Brien kept Dragons within touching distance.

Tyler Bleyendaal's penalties and conversion proved crucial in edging out the four point advantage for Munster, with John Ryan winning Man of the Match.
