Jose Mourinho enjoyed a great run of form on the road this year, but behind the wheel, it was a different story.
The Portuguese coach caught doing 60mph in a 50mph zone on the A3 in Esher, Surrey, close to the club’s training ground at Cobham.
In front of the Magistrates court he pleaded guilty to the offence and was handed a £750 fine and a six month ban from driving.
The 52-year-old had already accumulated nine points on his license previous to the offence.
The news comes on the same day Mourinho hinted that he will make a move for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao after a disappointing season at Manchester United.
The floundering Colombian could only muster four goals in 29 matches for Louis van Gaal’s side and has looked a shadow of the striker that made him world renowned for his finishing, justifying the nickname, ‘El Tigre’.
Mourinho told DirecTV Sports on Wednesday night: "If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it.
"It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United."
