Jose Mourinho has said he isn’t concerned by Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and John Terry all being out of contract at the end of the season.
The trio will be free to move from Stamford Bridge on a free transfer next summer if new deals are not agreed and with memories of Frank Lampard’s last contract expiry still fresh Mourinho could be forgiven for worrying he might lose one or more of his dressing room leaders. The Portuguese however insists he isn’t worried. "It's a situation that doesn't worry me or the club and, I think, doesn't worry the players," he said.
"Their desire to play for this club, nobody has doubts about it. We want them to feel free to express and to enjoy these last years of their careers."
"Everything is very calm [and] at the end of the season, probably before that, the offer will be on the table."
"In this moment the situation is very, very clear. They trust the club, we trust the players. And, for sure, without conflict, the best decision for us and for them will be taken," he added.
