GAELIC GAMES

Dublin sent out a big message ahead of this summer's Football Championship, by cruising to victory against Cork in yesterday's Division One final.

Jim Gavin's men had 11 points to spare as they clinched the Allianz League title for the third year running.

It finished 1-21 to 2-07.

Meanwhile, Roscommon lifted Division Two's equivalent, as they beat 14-man Down by five points.

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal says yesterdays defeat to Everton was the worst since he took over.
