HURLING

Waterford are the first team through to the Munster Hurling final. They defeated Cork by 3-19 to 1-21 yesterday in Thurles

They'll play Limerick or Tipperary on July 12th.

In Leinster, Laois recorded their first Championship win over Offaly in 43 years, winning by 0-29 to 0-21.

Seamus Plunkett's side will host Galway in the semi final on the 20th of June while Wexford will go to Kilkenny after they beat Westmeath in Mullingar.

GAELIC FOOTBALL

The draw for Round 1A and 1B of the qualifiers takes place this later this morning.

20 teams enter the draw, with most of the teams looking to avoid Tyrone.

TENNIS

Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka shocked Novak Djokovic yesterday afternoon to win the French Open.

It was Wawrinka's second Grand Slam title after winning last years Australian Open title.

He won the match 4-6. 6-4. 6-3, 6-4 and Djokovic's quest for his first French Open title and a career Grand Slam continues.

FORMULA 1

Lewis Hamilton's domination of the Formula 1 season continued yesterday as he won his fourth Canadian Grand Prix, his fourth win of the season.

The Mercedes driver finished ahead of team mate Nico Rosberg, with Kimi Raikkonen completing the podium.

The reigning champion now leads the Drivers Standings by 17 points from Rosberg.

HORSE RACING

It's Connacht National evening in Roscommon with over €26,000 up for grabs in the day's feature race.

That gets underway at 8.30pm, but there are seven more races, the first due off at 5.30pm.
