Manchester City have made the signings that can rejuvenate their side and help them push for a title challenge, according to Miguel Delaney.

The comments were made last night on the the return of Off The Ball's Football Show and he agreed that they can play freely this season.

"Some people have them finishing in fourth or fifth, which I think is a little bit odd. Yes, they have issues and they might struggle to get back to that title winning form" he said.

"But they've got a good core there and have made exactly the sort of signings that have revitalised that core in previous seasons."

He went on to comment on Manuel Pellegrini's tenure at the club and whether he will be at the helm for much longer.

"It is likely that there will be a transition at the club in terms of a manager in 2016, even if it isn't Pep Guardiola, and that the club are going to stick to a longer term plan."

You can listen to the full segment below, which includes a preview of the 2015/16 Premier League season kicking off this Saturday.

You can also catch Arsenal v West Ham (1.30pm) and Stoke v Liverpool(4pm) this Sunday live on Off The Ball
