UEFA President Michel Platini has failed to have his 90-day ban by FIFA overturned at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The 60-year-old had hoped to have a ban overturned that was caused due to alleged "dishonest payment" between Platini and Sepp Blatter in 2011.

The CAS have "determined that maintaining the provisional suspension for the remainder of the 90 days does not cause irreparable harm to Michel Platini at this point in time."

Platini was the favourite to replace Sepp Blatter as FIFA President before the scandal broke.
