Details of who he will fight are still yet to be released, but Conlan also expressed his excitement to get going on what looks set to be a promising professional career.

The Belfast boxer signed with Bob Arum's team, Top Rank Promotions, this week after flying out to the US to meet with the prospective promoter.

The 24-year-old said he was finished fighting in the amateur ranks after losing out in the Olympic Games following some judging which drew criticism from around the world.
