Michael Conlan has won his European Elite Championship encounter in Bulgaria.

The Belfast fighter and 2012 Olympic medalist beat Anthony Bret of France 30-27 and is now into the quarter-final.

Dean Walsh will step into the ring at 5pm today in the light welterweight division, while Irish team captain Darren O'Neill will return to action when he faces a Russian opponent in the heavyweight division at around 6pm.
