Meath have suffered a major blow as Eamon Wallace has been ruled out for the season.

The forward tore the cruciate ligament in his right knee during Wednesday's under-21 Leinster Championship win over Louth.

The pacey forward was a major asset for the Royals during last season's senior All Ireland championship, scoring 0-2 in the gutsy Leinster final defeat to eventual champions Dublin.
