Rory McIlroy has confirmed that he will compete at this year's Arnold Palmer Invitational for the first time.

The World No 1 has previously avoided taking part in the tournament at Bay Hill.

Next month's tournament will form part of McIlroy's preparations for the Augusta Masters.
