Rory McILroy has moved to 4 under par on day 3 of the Houston Open.

The world number 2 has picked up three shots and is now six shots behind leader Steve Wheatcroft.

Meanwhile McIlroy has decided to play an extra tournament before the Masters. 

He is entered next week's Texas Open in a bid to work on his form ahead of the first major of the year.
