Rory McIlroy has been given an exemption that will allow him to compete in the European Tour's season-ending Final Series.
The World No 1 has had his season disrupted by an ankle injury, which meant that he was unable to meet the 13-event Race to Dubai qualification standard.
However, the Tour has agreed to an exemption after McIlroy committed to play in a further three European events this season, to take his tally for the year to 12.
