Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell are currently best of the Irish on Day 1 of the Masters.

Both players are on 1-under par, while Padraig Harrington was on a level par round.

McDowell and Harrington are still out on course.

Shane Lowry followed a bogey at 10, with a double-bogey at the 11th to drop back to 3-over par.

Darren Clarke ended the day on 2-over following a round of 74.

Charley Hoffman and Justin Rose are clubhouse leaders on 5-under, after opening rounds of 67 today.
