Ireland internationals Darron Gibson and James McCarthy will be given fitness tests by Everton before tonight’s Premier league clash with QPR at Goodison Park.

The Toffees were rewarded this afternoon for finishing top of their Europa League group with a last-32 tie against Swiss side Young Boys. They'll meet over two legs in February.

Former Everton midfielder Ian Snodin, who is now an ambassador for the club, is hoping they can go all the way to the final. He said: “Everton need some silverware. It’s been a long, long time.”
