Stephen Rochford is expected to be appointed tonight as the new Mayo senior football manager.

The Mayo county board are set to ratify the former Corofin manager as the successor to Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly, who departed their positions following a vote of no confidence from the players.

The Crossmolina native, who is the only name in the running for the job, has already finalised his coaching team for next season.

Rochford led Corofin to All-Ireland Club Football glory in 2014-15.
