Mayo and Donegal will meet in a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland final, in the pick of the ties in this year’s quarter finals.
Donegal come off the back of a convincing win over Laois yesterday evening, while Mayo come into the tie having advanced to another Connacht title with minimum resistance.
Another tie to whet the appetite of neutrals is the meeting of Dublin and Cork, with the Leinster champions facing the losers of this year’s Munster final.
Elsewhere Ulster champions Monaghan meet Tyrone – conquerors of Meath at Croke Park last night - in an all Ulster quarter final, while Kerry are to face Cavan, who yesterday advanced past London to make it to their first quarter final since 1997.
The winner of the Donegal and Mayo clash will face the winner of the Monaghan versus Tyrone match, while Dublin and Cork play for the chance to face Kerry or Cavan.
Dublin V Cork and Monaghan V Tyrone will take place next Saturday, with the remaining two ties on Sunday.
