Sunday afternoon was to be a day David O'Leary and his new wife Vicky would never forget.

The newly-wedded couple were having their wedding photos taken, when Liverpool striker suddenly appeared outside the Vincent Hotel, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Balotelli is currently based in the city training with the team's youngsters as Liverpool's first-team squad continue their pre-season preparations in America. The Italian striker happily posed with the Liverpool fans, to create some special wedding photos.

Local photographer Adam Johns snapped the couple with the striker, as he also posed for photos with the bridesmaids.

"The couple said he was really nice and friendly, and more than happy to have photos taken with them, which made their day with them being such big Reds fans."

"It was the icing on the cake."

The 25-year-old joined Liverpool in 2014, but spent last season on loan at former club AC Milan. Despite stating his eagerness to work under manager Jurgen Klopp, Balotelli will be expected to move clubs before the end of the transfer window.

In his one full season at Anfield, Balotelli only scored on four occasions.
