Grand national winning jockey Ryan Mania will be released from hospital this afternoon.

An MRI scan on his back and neck have revealed he only sustained minor injuries when he fell from his horse at Hexham on Sunday.

He is now expected to attend a homecoming party in Galashiels this evening.

His agent Bruce Jeffrey says Mania hopes to be back in the saddle in the very near future.
