Manchester United are offering fans free jerseys ahead of the club's Europa League tie with Liverpool in Anfield next week.

2,685 United fans will be situated in the Anfield Road Stand and the club have offered each fan a free jersey with thanks to one of the club's sponsors.

An e-mail was sent to all fans going to the game offering the jersey. Supporters have until 4pm on Friday to take advantage of the offer.

The e-mail from the club wants United fans "to help create a 'Wall of White' as the teams walk out."

"In order to help generate the best possible atmosphere at Anfield next week, the Club is delighted to give you (and all ticket holders travelling to Liverpool) a complimentary white away shirt."

Liverpool on a March Thursday evening may not be the warmest place in the world. Whether Manchester United get their wish remains to be seen.

It does look unlikely though.
