Manchester United are "unlikely" to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic another contract for the upcoming season, according to reports.

Sky Sports claim that the Swedish striker will not be given the opportunity of playing for Manchester United for a second season.

Ibrahimovic's current deal expires at the end of the month, but United have the option of a 12-month extension when it is complete.

The striker has been out injured since picking up a cruciate injury toward the end of the season and undergoing surgery in May.

Despite being integral in helping United reach the Europa League final, he was unable to line out against Ajax in Stockholm.

The 35-year-old is expected to be included in the list of players released from the club on Friday. With his recovery set to keep him out until 2018, Mourinho has decided to look at alternative attacking options.

Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata is just one of the names mentioned to relpace Ibrahimovic in the summer, after United cooled their interest in Atletico Madrid's Antione Griezmann.

Romelu Lukaku is another name in the running to replace the Swede at Old Trafford.
