Argentina left-back Marcos Rojo has repotedly told his club Sporting Libson that he wishes to join Manchester United.
The defender has reportedly handed-in a transfer request amid claims that United have tabled a €20 million bid.
Reports in Portugal also claim that Rojo refused to train today, in order to force through a move.
The 24-year-old Argentine international can play both left-back and centre-back, which would make him an ideal recruitment for the new 3-5-2 system being used by manager Louis van Gaal.
Named in the team of the tournament, Rojo was part of the Argentina side which reached the World Cup final and scored in the 3-2 win over Nigeria in the group stages.
