Manchester United have moved 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League with only 12 games to play.

United beat Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford to move one step closer to regaining their title.

Ryan Giggs and Robin Van Persie both scored in the first half.

Giggs' cool finish from just inside the box ensured that he scored for the 23rd consecutive season in the English top flight, while Van Persie latched on to a through ball, rounded the keeper and slotted in, with compatriot Jonny Heitinga close to keeping it from crossing the line.
