Manchester United have confirmed that Ander Herrera fractured a rib during their win over West Ham.

The club say that the Spanish midfielder's recovery will be monitored over the next few weeks, but have declined to say how long he is expected to be sidelined for.

The 25-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Atheltic Bilbao this summer and has scored two Premier League goals in four games.
