A group of Manchester City fans have paid an expensive, but tender, tribute to their former boss, Roberto Mancini, with a large ad in Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport thanking Mancini for his work at the club. The ad is reported to have cost £7,000.
The gesture is a response to Mancini’s own public thank you, when, following his dismissal from the club, he took out a full page ad in the Manchester Evening News to tell the City fans “You will always be in my heart”.
This is all very romantic, it really is.
