Maggie Farrelly will make a piece of Gaelic games history this weekend. 

The Cavan official will become the first woman to take charge of an Allianz Football League game.

Farrelly will oversee Sunday's Division 4 meeting of Leitrim and London in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Late last year, she was the first woman to officiate a men's county final when she was appointed the referee for the Cavan Football Championship final clash of Ramor United and Gowna.
