Leinster's Ian Madigan believes preparation levels for the team's matches have been consistent this season.

The Ireland international was speaking to Off The Ball's Dave McIntryre a few days out from a match-winning performance against Bath.

Dave asked him about a point Rob Kearney had made about preparation levels a few days ago, in which his team-mate had said: "We had a good two days away in Powerscourt and our preparation this week has been brilliant. And it’s been different to a lot of weeks throughout the season. I think one thing we have to look at is why it has been different this week. If we want to be a great side, you have to have that level of preparation every single week."

In response, Madigan told Dave: "No I wouldn't share those views Rob has. I think our preparation for the season and for a lot of the other games has been very good and I think Matt would have a very good game-plan for the given match. I think the players have let him down on a few occasions by not going out and executing that."

Madigan also looked ahead to the Champions Cup semi-final against Toulon.

"We'll be going in with the mindset that we can fully win that match," he stated.

You can hear that full interview on Off The Ball tonight as well as Wednesday Night Rugby with The Irish Times' rugby correspondent Gerry Thornley and ex-Connacht full-back Gavin Duffy.
