Cavan footballer Cian Mackey and Dublin hurler Paul Ryan have won the Opel GAA/GPA Player of the Month awards for July.

Mackey was in the Breffni side that was defeated by Kerry in the quarterfinals over the weekend, taking the Man of the Match award.

Ryan is the highest scorer left in the hurling championship ahead of the Dubs' semi-final with Cork this Sunday.
