Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has seen his name splashed all over the back pages of the papers in recent weeks after speculation surrounding his future at the club. 

Jose Mourinho has been the man most frequently linked to the job, but the Dutchman seems to be taking it in good spirits, as he shared a joke with a fan in the wake of their 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup on Monday night. 

The manager stuck around after the game to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans, when one of them wished him the best of luck for the rest of the season. 

Van Gaal responded that he was going to need it, "otherwise I shall be sacked".
