Some of the players and management of Loughmore Castleiney faced a surreal situation in Thurles today in the aftermath of their Munster club Championship loss to Na Piarsaigh.

The club are also involved in the Clean Recycling Ireland Tipperary senior football final next Sunday against Aherlow Gaels and the press preview for that game was held directly after the hurling quarter final.

To their credit the Loughmore boys turned up in their numbers, including club Captain Derek Bourke who had been sent off in the match, for an incident just minutes into the first half.
