Liverpool have pulled off one of the big results of the early Premier League season with a 2-1 victory away at Chelsea.

Goals from Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson put the Reds in the driving seat before in-form Diego Costa pulled one back.

But Liverpool held on which means that they have only lost twice at Stamford Bridge in their last 10 league visits.

It's also their second win in a row at Chelsea's home ground in the league.

Lovren had Jurgen Klopp's side in front when poor marking allowed him to stroke in an inch-perfect Phil Coutinho to the far post.

And Liverpool's second was even better.

With nine minutes to go to half-time, Henderson unleashed an outstanding shot from 30 metres which beat Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea fought back in the second half and Nemanja Matic broke through and pulled the ball back for Costa to make it 2-1 from close range.

However, Liverpool held on to go fourth in the table.
