Liverpool youngster, Divock Origi, believes that the Merseyside club should be winning the league with the talent they currently have.

Origi spent an unsuccessful year on loan at Lille, the club from whom Liverpool bought him, where he was named part of Ligue 1's worst XI.

However the £10 million Frenchman believes his new club are good enough to top the Premier League.

"I think Liverpool is a wonderful club that deserves to be at the top and to be honest with the players they have, with the quality they have, then they should be finishing at the top of the league," Origi said.

The forward continued, saying that he was excited to start at the club and indeed start working with manager, Brendan Rodgers.

"I'm very happy to be going there. Brendan Rodgers is a very good coach and he has proved that, so it will be very exciting to work with a world-class coach.

"Most of all it is important to be at a good club where people believe in you and where you feel good and at Liverpool I had a really good feeling and they have experience of working with young players."

Origi's comments come soon before the club announced the signing of Manchester City midfielder, James Milner.
