Arsenal have had a big-money bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez turned down.

Neither club would confirm the size of the bid, but it is believed to be in the region of £30 million (€35 million).

Liverpool have insisted that the controversial Uruguayan is not for sale.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger allegedly held an interest in the player during his time at Ajax. 

However for his part, Suarez has not only wanted to leave Liverpool, but depart England altogether.
