When Steven Gerrard confirmed he has to leave Liverpool to join MLS Champions LA Galaxy, many fans of the Premier League side hoped they were dreaming.

There worst nightmares have been confirmed as Gerrard has finally been pictured in the white and navy of his new club. He is expected to make his debut for the Californian club later this month.

Gerrard will wear the Number 8 jersey he made his own at Anfield, but will not be given the captains armband. Former Liverpool team mate and Irish captain Robbie Keane is expected to keep hold of position at the StubHub Center.
