Liverpool Football Club's announcement of a new price structure for tickets was met with a negative reaction by fans, and it seems as though they are ready to take action against the changes.

Fans of the club called the revised structure "morally unjustifiable" which would see the price of some match day tickets rise to £77, while season tickets could increase to over £1,000.

The club have defended the structure, saying that a youth initiative will offer young fans cheaper tickets, 64% of season tickets will be frozen and 45% of matchday tickets will actually cost less, but with the increased capacity and more expensive tickets in some sections, they still look set to make an extra £2 million as a result.

Liverpool fan site Spion Kop has decided that they will do their best to make their dissatisfaction with the pricing known, and are calling on fans to join a protest against the move by leaving the game on Saturday against Sunderland in the 77th minute.

The hashtag #WalkOutOn77 accompanied the plan, while a number of other fan groups have also voiced their support for the initiative.
