Liverpool have reportedly tied up a deal to sign Fabio Carvalho in the summer.
The 19-year old has been one of Fulham's star turns this season, with his seven goals and seven assists helping them towards the brink of promotion back to the Premier League.
Liverpool failed with a deadline day attempt to sign Carvalho in January. A deal looked set to be agreed that would have allowed him to remain at Craven Cottage until the end of the season, but the Premier League giants could not get it over the line in time.
Carvalho's contract at Fulham expires this summer, and the expectation has always been that Liverpool would return for the Portuguese-born wonderkid.
Football journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed on Thursday afternoon that a deal for Carvalho to move to Liverpool was "imminent". Rather than sign the player on a free transfer, Liverpool are to honour their prior agreement with Fulham which will see them hand over £5million (€6m) up front, plus £2.7million (€3.23m) in potential add-ons. Fulham will also retain a sell-on clause of around 20 per cent.
Carvalho will sign a five-year deal at Anfield.
It's claimed that Carvalho has already met with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, and has toured the Reds' training facilities.
