The Tipperary county board have confirmed the appointment Liam Kearns as their new senior football manager.

The former Limerick and Laois manager has been appointed to succeed Peter Creedon.

The Kerry native will be assisted by Tipp Under-21, Minor and Junior manager Tommy Toomey, who will act as one of his selectors along with Paul Fitzgerald and Shane Stapleton.

Meanwhile, Kearns, Fitzgerald and Stapleton will also act as Toomey's selectors with the Under-21s.
